6th Annual Scottish Highland Games

The City of Mount Dora presents the 6th Annual Scottish Highland Festival November 16-17.


The festivities being on Friday evening with plenty of events for adults and children.  Starting at 6:30 p.m. there will be free performances at Sunset Park for Night of the Tartan, featuring The Breakers at 6:30 p.m., Tartanrums Comedy at 7:15 p.m., Finnegan Academy of Irish Dance at 8:00 p.m. and Reel Irish at 8:20 p.m.  The evening is topped off at 8:30 p.m. when the Tartan Terrors takes the stage.  Tartan Terrors are their own Celtic Invasion, mixing rock's energy with traditional folklore, dance, and humor. With an arsenal featuring classic pipes and fiddle, driving drum tones, and signature guitar styles, standing-room only audiences understand why Dig This Magazine declares "(The Terrors) one act to keep an eye on!"   The City of Mount Dora Pipes and Drums will also make a special appearance Friday night.


This year, the City is incorporating a fun kid’s event at the Community Building with the showing of Disney’s Brave at 7:00 p.m. on Friday night.  The showing is free and all ages are welcome to come enjoy the movie. 


Saturday is the big event starting at 10 a.m. in Gilbert Park.  The Highland Festival will feature athletic games, Celtic dancing, live music and entertainment, Pipes and Drums, food, vendors, sheep herding and so much more!  Admission is Free to all three events.

Time: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Cost: Free
