The Electric Utility Department will be implementing a rate adjustment resulting in a decrease in the customer bill for October 2019.
The rate adjustments include a 2.36% increase in base rates and a 5.4% reduction of the October 2019 Power Cost Charge (PCC) from the existing rate of $0.06200 per kWh to $0.05865 per kWh.
The net effect of the rate adjustments will be a decrease in customer electric bills. The rate adjustments will become effective on customer bills rendered on and after October 1, 2019. A typical customer utilizing 1,000 kWh will see a 1.8 % decrease from $116.69 to $114.63. See the attached table for other impacts of the rate adjustment.
