  4. Microsoft Excel: Basics

    June 27, 2018, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM @ Technology Lab

    Learn how to use Excel to organize numbers and text in a spreadsheet format. Excel spreadsheets can be used for budgets, work and school projects, record-keeping, lists, inventories, and more. By the end of this class you should be able to create and format a spreadsheet; enter and edit data; and use basic formulas to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers in a horizontal row or vertical column. Attendees will use PCs in the W.T. Bland Public Library Technology Lab, which have Microsoft Excel 2016 installed.

    Enjoy free popcorn and curated classic films every second and fourth Wednesday of the month. The program starts at 7:00pm, with a brief synopsis of what makes it a classic film (pre-1970), followed by a traditional movie cartoon before the feature.   6. Beginning Digital Photography

    "Where is the flash? What about the batteries? What do these buttons do? Can my shots be edited on the camera? How do I focus my shots?" This class will answer these basic questions. Instructor Steve Berger is a photographer with years of photography instruction experience. This class is a hands-on workshop for beginners. You'll learn how to operate your digital camera and practice taking shots during class. Please bring your digital camera (make sure it is charged).
