  1. Annual Plein Air Paint Out and Exhibit

    October 31, 2018, 10:00 AM - November 30, 2018, 5:00 PM

    Annual event in which artists register and paint/draw scenes depicting Mount Dora’s landscape and architecture. Final entries are judged and prizes are awarded at exhibit’s opening reception. This year’s featured Plein Air artist is Beth Pendleton. Opening reception: November 9th, 2018 6-8 PM.

  2. Mount Dora Storytelling Guild Monthly Meeting 2nd Tuesdays

    Have time for a story? If not, you are way to busy! Please join us to listen and tell stories - ghost stories, pet stories , personal stories, multi-cultural stories and more! We meet the 2nd Tuesday of every month in the Simpson Farmhouse, beginning November the 13th.

    Increase your PC mastery in this hands-on workshop taught by a computer science upperclassman college student. PCs are provided or bring your own laptop. This class covers: Operations: connecting to the internet, adjusting display settings, USB functions and customizing the home screen. Internet browser skills: zoom page, create tabs, block ads Applications: snipping tool, Adobe Acrobat Reader and more! Registration is required for this free class.

  2. Ukulele - Beginning/Intermediate

    November 13, 2018, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM @ Community Room

    New to the ukulele? Interested in jamming with other adults? Learn and play together in our new ukulele class for adults and explore chords, strumming techniques, and learn easy songs. Please bring your own ukulele to class. Teens and tweens are also welcome. Ukulele class meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 6:00 PM (in the Library) and on the fourth Saturday of the month at 10:00 AM (at the Simpson Farmhouse). This class is free, with no registration required.
