  1. Annual Plein Air Paint Out and Exhibit

    October 31, 2018, 10:00 AM - November 30, 2018, 5:00 PM

    Annual event in which artists register and paint/draw scenes depicting Mount Dora’s landscape and architecture. Final entries are judged and prizes are awarded at exhibit’s opening reception. This year’s featured Plein Air artist is Beth Pendleton. Opening reception: November 9th, 2018 6-8 PM.

  3. Art of the Deal Fundraiser

    November 3, 2018, 6:00 PM - 11:00 PM @ Donnelly Park Building, Deck, Pad

    "Through the Looking Glass" Mount Dora Center for the Arts invites you to celebrate the arts in your best cocktail attire, to the area’s premier cultural event in historic, Downtown Mount Dora. Art of the Deal offers catered cuisine, an open bar with wine and top-shelf liquor, dancing, live and silent auctions, gaming tables, and entertainment. Silent auction items were donated by artists from the Mount Dora Arts Festival and area merchants! Auction items include: artwork, jewelry, romantic getaways, gourmet gift baskets and much more! Proceeds benefit Mount Dora Center for the Arts to help provide scholarships for Kids Summer Arts Camp, Kids Outreach Programs, and educational classes and exhibits to the community.

  1. Chess Club

    November 3, 2018, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Study Room

    Come watch, learn, and play chess. All skill levels and ages are welcome! Beginners will learn basic moves and then be paired with a player. Beginners are especially welcome! Studies have shown that chess may raise students' IQ and help prevent Alzheimer's. Chess is call "the game of kings" and will boost your creativity, memory, and problem-solving skills. Drop in anytime between 10:00am and noon, on the first and third Saturday of each month. No registration required.

    Join the Mount Dora Dulcimer Society at your Library on the first Saturday of the month. All acoustic instruments are welcome: violin, guitar, autoharp, ukulele, etc. This group is open to all and registration is not required.
