“Art in the Park” is a free children's art outreach program that takes place in Mount Dora at Cauley Lott Park every Saturday from March 2nd through April 27th from 10 am to 12 pm. This is a free program to participate in, no advance registration required and is open to all residents (whether you're a Mount Dora resident or not).
This art program is intended to give children knowledge of art concepts through art activities selected each week. The weekly lessons present a variety of artistic projects in a fun way that will help children increase their confidence, and improve their communication and problem solving skills. All materials are provided for each week's lesson, free of charge.

Sway to the music with Caribbean Groove, a Caribbean/Jazz steel drum band led by Triangle Elementary music teacher Ed Anderson. Be transported to your island dreams. Caribbean Groove just finished performing aboard a cruise ship, and they’re ready to bring their island sounds back to Florida. The concert will take place in the Modernism Museum gallery on Saturday, March 23rd at 7:00pm. A sparkling and white wine reception is included with your admission, which begins at 6:30pm.
Tickets are $20 for 3MD members and $30 for nonmembers and includes the wine reception which precedes the performance. Tickets can be purchased at the museum or online by visiting https://ezticketapp.com/?s=ez4463.

New to the ukulele? Interested in jamming with other adults? Learn and play together in our new ukulele class for adults and explore chords, strumming techniques, and learn easy songs. Please bring your own ukulele to class. Teens and tweens are also welcome.
Ukulele class meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 6:00 PM (in the Library) and on the fourth Saturday of the month at 10:00 AM (at the Simpson Farmhouse).

Learn what your handwriting can reveal about you in this new class. During this hands-on program, you will learn how to recognize human traits in handwriting. You'll discover traits in yourself and others, and learn how handwriting can help you improve your relationships.
The instructor is a Certified Graphoanalyst and a member of Southeast Handwriting Analysts and the International Graphoanalyst Society.

Saturdays at 10:30 am, beginning January 26, 2019. Announcing a special story time for babies up to 15 months as well as expectant parents. Meet other caregivers while supporting your baby’s early development needs. Staff have been specially trained on the latest best practices for infant and in utero story times. Infant story times are structured differently because the needs of babies are so different! Toddlers who are brought to this story time will have a special role as well. Thanks to the Friends of the Library, this story time has new books and new developmentally appropriate toys. Parents and babies are welcome to stay for play and explore following the story time.
